Easy Installation Process
The AMADA HOMEFURNISHING floating shelves are straightforward to install. The included instructions and standard mounting hardware make the setup process relatively simple. However, you will need to screw in five holes, which increases the chances of hitting a stud. For those uncomfortable drilling into studs, using four holes works just fine but may reduce the weight capacity slightly.
Versatile and Stylish Design
These shelves are versatile, fitting well in various rooms such as the living room, bedroom, or bathroom. They add a modern touch to any space with their matte black finish and sleek design. Although they are not made of real wood, the faux wood material looks aesthetically pleasing and complements different decor styles.
Durability and Sturdiness
Upon installation, the shelves feel sturdy and can hold up to 20lbs, thanks to the robust, powder-coated metal brackets that remain hidden behind the shelves. However, the anchors provided could be of better quality, as one of mine shattered during installation. Despite this, once all the anchors were in place, the shelves felt secure and stable.
Lightweight Construction
The shelves are notably lightweight, which raised some initial concerns about their durability. This lightweight nature, due to the wood fibers material, makes them easy to handle and install but leaves some doubt about their long-term sturdiness. Nonetheless, they currently hold up well and look great, making them a good choice for displaying decor pieces.
Minor Drawbacks
One minor issue was that the brackets were not perfectly level, but this was easily resolved by marking the level with the shelf halfway on the brackets. Additionally, the packaging could be improved, as my shelves arrived with minor damage on the back, though it is not visible once installed.
Overall Satisfaction
Overall, these floating shelves met my expectations and are a stylish and functional addition to my home. They are easy to install, versatile, and provide a modern touch to any room. While some minor improvements could be made, for the price, they offer excellent value.
