Description
I decided to try the Alsonerbay Corner Shelf Wall Mount set to add some rustic charm and practical storage to my living room. Overall, my experience has been quite positive with a few minor caveats.
Firstly, the shelves are made of paulownia wood, which is lightweight yet durable. The dark brown stain looks fantastic and adds warmth to the room. I appreciate the variety in sizes (S, M, L, XL), as it allowed me to create a more dynamic and visually appealing arrangement.
Installation was straightforward thanks to the pre-drilled holes, though I did encounter some issues with the provided hardware. The screws were too long and didn’t fit well with the anchors, so I ended up using my own #10-1in screws for a more secure fit. This seems to be a common issue based on other user feedback.
The shelves feel sturdy once mounted, but I would caution against placing very heavy items on them. They hold up well for lighter décor and small plants. Speaking of plants, I made sure to place them on plates to prevent any potential water damage, as the finish is quite matte and could be susceptible.
One thing to note is that these shelves only work at a perfect 90° angle. If your walls aren’t perfectly aligned, you may face some challenges in getting them to sit flush. This wasn’t a major issue for me, but it’s worth considering.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I am very pleased with how these shelves look and function in my space. They have definitely added a nice touch of rustic elegance and practical storage to my living room. Highly recommend if you are looking for stylish and versatile corner shelves.
