I found the WELLAND 9 1/4 inch White Mission Floating Shelves to be a mixed bag. On the positive side, they have a contemporary and attractive design that fits well with modern home decor. The installation instructions are clear, making the assembly process straightforward, and the included hardware is a nice touch. They are particularly useful for displaying lightweight items like coffee mugs, memorabilia, or a modem and router.
However, there are some notable drawbacks. The mounting hardware provided is not the best quality. I experienced issues similar to other users where the screws and anchors didn’t seem sturdy enough, causing the shelves to sag slightly. I had to purchase additional wall mounts to ensure they were secure. Also, while the MDF material is lightweight, it doesn’t feel very durable. One of my shelves had minor scratches upon arrival, which was disappointing.
Overall, these shelves serve their purpose well if you are looking to display light items and are willing to invest in better mounting hardware. They are aesthetically pleasing and easy to install but fall short in terms of sturdiness and durability.
