Excellent Value and Versatility!
The Fixwal Wood Floating Shelves are a fantastic addition to my home decor. The set of 6 shelves not only provides ample storage space but also adds a cozy and stylish touch to any room. I’ve used them in my bedroom and living room to display candles, picture frames, and small plants, and they look absolutely charming.
The shelves are made of sturdy, handcrafted solid wood, which gives a very rustic and natural feel. I appreciate the slight variations in color and grain, as they enhance the overall aesthetic. However, do note that the boards are not pre-drilled. While this allows for flexible installation, it can be a bit challenging if you don’t have an electric drill. The included screwdriver is handy but might not be sufficient for those with weaker wrists or tendonitis.
One of the highlights is the strong metal brackets, which can hold up to 40 pounds. The black finish on the iron frame adds a modern touch and prevents rusting. Installation was relatively straightforward, and the shelves come with all necessary hardware, including screws, anchors, a mini level, and a small screwdriver. To speed up the process, I used my own drill and larger level.
There were a few minor issues. Some of the brackets required slight bending to align the shelves correctly, and the supplied screwdriver wore out towards the end. Despite these small inconveniences, the overall quality and value of these shelves far exceed those of similar products found at major home improvement stores.
