Great Addition to My Home Gym, But Some Minor Issues
I decided to get this floating shelf to organize my Tonal accessories, and overall, I’m quite pleased with it. Here are my thoughts:
- Sturdy Build: The shelf is made of solid, heavy-duty alloy steel, which feels very durable and robust. It easily holds all my accessories without any signs of bending or sagging.
- Easy Installation: Despite the lack of instructions, the installation was fairly straightforward. It took me about 15 minutes to set it up.
- Space-Saving Design: The shelf has a sleek, black-coated design that fits well with the rest of my home gym equipment. It turns wasted wall space into a useful storage area.
- Functional Hooks: The five T-Hooks are extremely convenient for hanging different accessories. It’s much easier to swap out equipment from the hooks than when they were lying on the floor.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks to consider:
- Inadequate Wall Anchors: The provided drywall anchors are not very reliable. I had to reposition the shelf to a stud for better support. I recommend buying your own anchors if you don’t have studs where you plan to install it.
- Tools Required: The package doesn’t include tools or instructions, so you’ll need a metric wrench for the tiny bolts. Some loctite would also be useful to ensure the bolts stay tight.
Overall, the shelf is a worthwhile investment if you’re looking to organize your gym accessories. Just be prepared to make a few adjustments during installation.
