Review of the Floating Shelves for Wall
Design and Aesthetics
The floating shelves have a beautiful rustic look with their carbonized black color that fits perfectly into both boho and modern-styled rooms. The natural paulownia wood gives a warm and homey vibe. They look especially great as end tables next to my bed, adding a unique touch to the space.
Installation
Installing these shelves was a breeze and took me just about 5 minutes, thanks to the detailed paper instructions provided. However, the plastic screw anchors that came with the package were not of the best quality. I had to do some minor rework and use my own wall plugs to ensure a secure installation.
Storage Capacity
The deeper design of these shelves offers a larger storage capacity compared to ordinary shelves, which is a big plus. They are perfect for displaying lightweight items like sand bottles or small décor pieces. However, I would caution against placing anything too heavy on them, as they don’t seem to handle more than 10 lbs very well.
Build Quality
While the shelves look good, the quality of the wood leaves something to be desired. It feels a bit cheap, almost like a cork board, and one of my shelves was slightly warped. Despite these issues, they still serve their purpose for lighter items and add a nice touch to my room.
