Great Addition with a Few Minor Issues
The Vervida® Black Floating Shelves are an excellent addition to any home, offering a stylish and modern look. The shelves have a sleek ebony finish that complements various decor styles effortlessly. They are perfect for organizing items in the bedroom, bathroom, or even creating a cute corner in the kitchen for coffee and tea essentials.
Installation is straightforward, thanks to the invisible brackets and the thoughtful inclusion of different lengths of screws and anchors. However, the provided drywall anchors are somewhat flimsy. I recommend using metal anchors for better stability, especially if you plan to place heavier items on the shelves.
The shelves themselves are sturdy and can hold a decent amount of weight, up to 32 lbs. The material is a hollow masonite type, which keeps them lightweight yet durable. One minor downside is that the shelves are slightly shorter than the advertised 24 inches, measuring closer to 23.5 inches. This may not be a significant issue for most, but it’s worth noting for precise applications.
Additionally, while the packaging is generally good, one of my shelves had a bit of white paint on its surface, which was odd since they were shrink-wrapped inside the box. Thankfully, it was easy to scrape off, but it was still an unexpected hassle.
Overall, despite a few minor issues, the Vervida® Black Floating Shelves are a great buy. They are easy to install, look fantastic, and provide a practical solution for decluttering and organizing spaces. Just be prepared to use better quality anchors for optimal stability.
