Great Shelves with Minor Drawbacks
The 16.5in Floating Shelves are a fantastic addition to any room, bringing a charming rustic touch. Made from solid paulownia wood, they have a warm, natural wood grain finish that adds a cozy industrial/farmhouse feel. The shelves are sturdy and can hold up to 25 pounds, which is perfect for displaying books, plants, and other keepsakes without any worries.
One of the highlights is the ease of installation. The detailed instructions and included mounting hardware make the process straightforward. The hidden brackets give a seamless floating appearance, enhancing the aesthetic of the room. However, I did notice that the screws to secure the shelf to the bracket seemed slightly mis-drilled, which resulted in a tiny wobble. Although it doesn’t affect the overall stability, it is something to be aware of.
There is a slight color variation due to the natural wood material and the carbonization process, but this adds to the unique charm of each shelf. Unfortunately, the packaging needs improvement. The shelves arrived with dents at the corners due to insufficient protection from the manufacturer. Despite this issue, the product itself is commendable, and I hope the vendor addresses the packaging concern soon.
