Disappointing Experience with Promising Product
Initial Impressions
When I received the 4 PCS 16 Inch Bamboo Floating Shelves, I was excited about the natural bamboo material and the potential these shelves had to enhance my living space. Unfortunately, the excitement quickly turned to disappointment upon unwrapping the package.
Poor Packaging
The shelves arrived wrapped in what appeared to be a black trash bag with packing tape, offering little to no protection. This resulted in the shelves being scuffed and scratched, making them look used and not new. The lack of proper packaging was a major letdown, as I expected a new and pristine product for the price I paid.
Installation Issues
The installation process was far from straightforward. The included “template” was nothing more than a blank piece of copy paper with two holes punched in it, offering no guidance or dimensions. Additionally, there were no instructions provided, leaving me to figure out the installation on my own. The screws and anchors seemed to be designed for concrete walls, making installation on drywall tricky and less secure.
Quality Concerns
Beyond the packaging and installation issues, the quality of the shelves themselves was disappointing. They were scratched and scuffed, and the hardware was loose and scattered in the package. The shelves did not feel sturdy once mounted, and the anchors did not hold them level, resulting in a wobbly and flimsy setup.
